Xiaomi 14T Pro Review: Flagship Performance, Leica Cameras, and Stunning CrystalRes Display

The new Xiaomi 14T series has finally been unveiled, and we’re ready for an incredible experience with Leica-enhanced photography, flagship-level performance, Dolby Vision OLED, and much more. Today, we will review the Xiaomi 14T Pro, a worthy successor to the 13T Pro.

Xiaomi 14T Pro Review

When thinking of top-tier Xiaomi phones, Leica photography comes to mind first, but that's not the only highlight of the 14T Pro. The new model features a signature curved glass back, paired with a metal-like color matching its metallic frame. It also retains the IP68 rating, just like its predecessor.

Next is the 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display, similar to the 13T Pro—offering 1220p resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color depth, and Dolby Vision. This year’s model has an increased peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits.

The chipset has been upgraded to the Dimensity 9300+, improving upon the 9200+ with a faster processor, new cores, and more powerful 3D graphics capabilities.

Xiaomi 14T Pro Camera Review

Of course, the rear triple Leica camera setup returns, featuring a 50MP primary camera with a new sensor and lens, a 50MP 2.6x telephoto camera (for long zoom), and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The front camera has been upgraded from 20MP to 32MP.

Just like the 13T Pro, this phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. However, this time, it also supports 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 14T Pro runs on the latest Android and HyperOS, alongside Google Gemini and several AI tools.

Key Features of Xiaomi 14T Pro:

  • Body: 160.4x75.1x8.4mm, 209g; glass front, aluminum frame; IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 2m for 30 mins).
  • Display: 6.67" CrystalRes AMOLED, 68 billion colors, 144Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 1600 nits (HBM), 4000 nits (peak), 1220x2712px resolution, 20.01:9 aspect ratio, 446ppi.
  • Chipset: Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ (4 nm): Octa-core.
  • Memory: 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 16GB RAM, 1TB 12GB RAM.
  • Operating System: Android 14, HyperOS.
  • Rear Cameras: 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto (2.6x optical zoom), 12MP ultrawide.
  • Front Camera: 32MP.
  • Battery: 5000mAh, 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging.
  • Connectivity: 5G, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, infrared port.
  • Miscellaneous: Under-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers.

On paper, the Xiaomi 14T Pro has almost everything. We would have preferred a regular autofocus for the selfie camera, but the Quad-Bayer sensor will have to suffice.

Xiaomi 14T Pro Unboxing

The Xiaomi 14T Pro comes in a relatively slim box, but it’s not as thin as an iPhone or Galaxy box, so you won’t get the impression that a charger is missing. However, unfortunately, the EU version does not include a charger.

Inside the box, you’ll find a silicone case and a USB-A to USB-C cable. The phone itself rests on a thick cardboard bed. If you want to use the 120W wired or 50W wireless HyperCharge, you’ll need to purchase additional accessories. Xiaomi has transitioned its phones into the charger-less era.

On the bright side, the phone’s screen comes with a pre-applied protective film.

Design, Build Quality, and Handling

The design of the Xiaomi 14T Pro hasn't changed much from the 13T Pro, but it has been refined to give a more premium feel. The phone is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and features a flat front and frame, with a curved back design.

For the 14T Pro, Xiaomi chose a metallic-like color that has become a trend with the iPhone 15 Pro titanium generation. As a result, the new color options include Titan Gray (the one we have), Titan Blue, and Titan Black.

While no actual titanium is used in the Xiaomi 14T Pro, the color names are inspired by it. The phone’s front has a glass panel made of unknown material, an aluminum frame, and a slightly curved glass back.

The color of the frame and back match perfectly and feature a matte finish.

The camera module is metallic, housing the entire camera system, and remains square-shaped. Metal rings surround the three cameras and LED flash, adding a touch of glamor to the overall metallic look and feel.

As the camera housing matches the color of the rest of the phone, the design feels almost like a unibody style, giving it a smooth, seamless look. We really like this new design.

The entire front is covered by a 6.67-inch CrystalRes Display with thin bezels. It comes with high resolution, a high refresh rate, deep color depth, and dynamic range.

Xiaomi 14T Pro Performance and Design

The Xiaomi 14T Pro features an under-display fingerprint scanner, which works perfectly with new animations and vibrations that make it feel even faster.

It also has a hybrid stereo speaker system, with the earpiece acting as a speaker at the top, paired with Dolby Atmos. The second speaker is located at the bottom near the USB-C port.

The back of the Xiaomi 14T Pro is stunning. The chosen color and matte finish create a successful illusion of a metallic look. The metal camera housing is clean, and the four new metal rings around the cameras and flash give it a more modern and premium look.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro is a well-built phone, and it feels solid in hand. While the grip isn't the best, it’s not the slipperiest device either. Many people might opt to use the included case for added protection, hiding its beautiful design in the process.

If you choose to use the phone without a case, you'll appreciate the fingerprint-resistant design and get enough grip for daily use.

Overall, we really liked the design and build quality of the Xiaomi 14T Pro, and we believe most people will too.
